Established in 2011, this prestigious order was created to honor citizens of the CDS for their exceptional contributions to our community.
The award takes the form of a medal.
Criteria for the Award
To be considered for the Order of Anzere, a citizen’s contributions must meet the following statutory criteria:
- Eligible Actions: Recognition is given for outstanding efforts in building, organizing events or other community attractions, or making significant contributions to the history or documentation of the CDS.
- Benevolent Nature: Only benevolent (voluntary) contributions are eligible. Work performed in an official capacity as civil servant cannot be considered for this honor.
- Selection Process: The Representative Assembly is responsible for officially deciding and voting upon the attribution of the order to one or several citizens.
The Ceremony
The formal ceremony for the presentation of the Order of Anzere is held annually during the Oktoberfest festival.
- Organization: The Chancellor is responsible for organizing the event.
- Presentation: During the ceremony, a member of the RA delivers a speech highlighting the accomplishments and contributions of each recipient.
